Established in 2002, Creation has earned a proud reputation, not only for our distinctive, terroir-reflective wines, but also for our constant innovation. And this includes the creative use of interactive media.
“New media optimization has created exciting opportunities: for instance, if you’re sitting in Hong Kong enjoying a glass of Creation wine, you are able to use your smartphone to download video tasting notes and clips of the farm from QR barcodes on the bottle,” says co-owner and marketing director, Carolyn Martin.
Apart from our WEBSITE Creation is presently also active on the following platforms:
Through Facebook we establish one on one contact with our fans, communicating important information such as harvest updates, upcoming events, promotions and special offers, and also eliciting their valued feedback.
This is the ideal platform to build relationships with wine-lovers and address their individual enquiries. Creation ran one of the first industry Twitter auctions for a charity event in 2011and we also pioneered the Twittertable and Twitterticket campaign for the South African wine industry.
Our YouTube channel has been rebranded and relaunched as Creation TV. This allows us to distribute informative, innovative online video material such as tasting tutorials, wine and food tastings, press snippets as well as user generated video content. In the future we hope to bring you weekly online webinars with tips and tools for when entertaining at home.
Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website allowing users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies and more. Creation has recently run a successful campaign whereby followers could create their ultimate Creation experience by pinning various elements to a Pinterest board and sharing this with their friends. On Creation’s lively blog, members of the team regularly communicate with our fans, informing them of what’s new and happening on the estate and seeking their valued feedback.
Our weekly newsletters enable us to keep constant contact with our subscribers, sharing ideas, informing them of upcoming events, the latest Creation developments such as the launch of new wines, etc. We also use this medium to keep in touch with Creation Wine Club members.
This is an image and video hosting website and online community where we tell Creation’s story through photographs.
This social media platform differs from Facebook in that it offers different layers or circles. We can therefore select the content we want to share with a particular circle. An important element is Google hangouts. A hangout is a video chat with a group of up to ten people which allows us to hold meetings or online tastings and share wine reviews with a dedicated group.
This smartphone platform enables us to visually introduce the Creation team and their activities in a fun and playful manner.
Creation also has a listing on this worldwide platform for the tourism industry.
So there you have it: twelve exciting ways to visit Creation interactively online! The most rewarding way however remains an authentic visit to our little piece of paradise on the scenic Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge near Hermanus. Looking forward to meeting you there – in person! Link to our MAP
