The whole universe may indeed unwind itself with a glass of wine
by Bramptonwinesand who better to share one with than that one person who deserves it most – your mother.
To celebrate all the Moms in the world, we’ve put together a list of the top five First Ladies we’d like to have a glass of wine with.
Jackie Kennedy Onassis
Commonly known as Jackie O, this First Lady is remembered for her style, elegance, and grace. Her famous ensemble of pink Chanel suit and matching pillbox hat has become symbolic of her husband’s assassination and one of the lasting images of the 1960s. According to reports, Jackie was a great lover of wine, especially rosé. Although she is no longer with us to share a glass of wine with, this incredible style icon deserves a special mention on our list of First Ladies to share a drink with.
Michelle Obama, the first African-American First Lady of the United States, has pushed Americans to eat healthier, exercise more, and to drink more water but the Free World’s First Lady does enjoy the occasional glass of wine. Apart from being a qualified lawyer and writer, Michelle is also a dedicated mom of two teenage girls. Apparently, Michelle and Barack often threaten to dance in public when the girls are grumpy or refuse to smile. We would love to see Barack and Michelle dancing in public!
Hillary Clinton needed a couple of glasses of wine after her husband’s affair with Monica Lewinsky. But the whole debacle did not get the better of her. A New York vineyard released a wine called “Victory White” to encourage a Hillary Clinton bid for the White House in 2016.
It’s no secret that the Queen of England loves her wine. Queen Elizabeth recently celebrated her 88th birthday and still looks amazing for her age. She is fluent in French and since 1952, she has conferred over 404,500 honors and awards. In 2002, at 76, Elizabeth became the oldest monarch to celebrate a Golden Jubilee. There have been 12 U.S. Presidents during her reign!
Kate Middleton put rumours to rest that she’s pregnant again by indulging in a glass of wine on the Royal Tour in Australia. Her modern parenting techniques have received high praise. Kate wants her boys to mix with other children, not just be inside palace walls. She is determined to integrate her royal child into normal, everyday situations to make sure that Prince George is more in touch with the rest of the world.
