Waverley Hills is a thriving destination for lovers of wine and nature and is best known for producing premium organic wines.

Red varieties comprise 80% of the vineyards with the whites comprising a much smaller piece of the pie. But we should not forget about the white wines produced at Waverley Hills.  A Bordeaux Blend, Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon and Pinot Grigio form part of the estate range with a VSC (Viognier Semillon Chardonnay) blend in the premium range. A wooded Chardonnay will be added later on in the year.

With newly released vintages being scored at wine competitions, the premium range VSC 2015 is already attracting attention with its delicate but warm character. Comprising of a third of each variety, each treated separately before blending and matured in 500 liter Hungarian and French oak barrels. This wine has fresh white tropical fruit flavours with aromatic fynbos and soft oaky notes.

The VSC 2015 recently achieved a silver award at the International Organic Wine Awards in Fransdorf, Germany. Initiated and organised by WINE System AG, 1094 organic wines were submitted in compliance with PAR^®-standards. On a local level, the VSC 2015 received Top White Blend for the Tulbagh District and Ceres Plateau District at the SA Terroir Awards 2017.
