Cape Town`s first Rum Bar opens on Bree Street

Cape Town finally has a rum bar to meet the demand of tourists and locals alike. Not only is the bar brand new, but it’s also part of recently opened SeaBreeze Fish & Shell restaurant on Bree street. With Rum currently riding the Tiki bar revival wave in America, this newest addition to the Cape Town bar scene is right on trend.

Boasting over 20 local and international single-estate rums, the Rum Bar is a refined and elegant tasting room and the perfect setting for late night cocktails or private tastings. Guests can delve into the world of rum, handpicked by the house rummelier. The rum selection give guests a true taste of the Caribbean and showcase the various styles and diverse taste profiles — including Kraken, Pyrat, Ron Zacapa, Red Heart, Pink Pidgeon as well as Havana, Mount Gay, Bacardi, Cachaca and local craft rum like Copeland, Inverroche and Durbanville Distillery.

The bar menu also features eight signature rum cocktails that have been honed and perfected to elevate them to an entirely new level whilst retaining the essence of what made them classics in the first place.
