Celebrity diets to avoid in 2015

Be wary of celebrities and TV personalities peddling diets after the British Dietetic Association listed the Paleo and No Sugar diets as ones to avoid.

The BDA listed the five top celebrity linked diets which you would be best not to follow if your New Year’s resolution is to lose weight.

Most of them are linked to some of the biggest names in entertainment.

My Kitchen Rules chef Pete Evans preaches the Paleo Diet and journalist blogger Sarah Wilson swears by her No Sugar Diet.

The Paleo Diet was labelled a “Jurassic fad” by the BDA and said to be unbalanced, time consuming and socially isolating.

Wilson’s No Sugar regime was a “huge contradiction” because switching to the likes of palm sugar and honey was replacing one sugar with another.

The BDA listed the Urine Therapy Diet, linked to Bear Grylls, at the top of the no-no list, followed by the Paleo Diet at No.2 and the Sugar Free Diet at No.3.
