Champagne Lanson Celebrates 40 Years of Partnership with the Wimbledon Tennis Championship

2017 will be remembered as a special year for Champagne Lanson as it celebrates its 40th year associated with the world’s favourite tennis championship, Wimbledon. As the Official Champagne Sponsor, Champagne Lanson is the only Champagne poured throughout The Championship, an accolade Champagne Lanson is proud of and has held exclusively for 16 years since 2001.

Lanson will be revealing its 40th anniversary neoprene bottle cooler jackets. Its chosen colour for 2017 will be green with white stripes to resemble a grass lawn tennis court, which will resonate with the Club’s heritage and Lanson’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

Paul Beavis, Managing Director of Champagne Lanson International says: “We are delighted that Champagne Lanson has reached such an incredible milestone through our partnership with The Wimbledon Championships. Once our unique style of Champagne is tried by visitors at The Championships, we hope they will become advocates.”

“Being a tennis fan, this was an easy and exciting initiative to get behind. Wimbledon really is one the greatest sporting events in the calendar year and being involved with Lanson, who have such a long and respected history with the tournament, is a huge privilege. Long may their relationship with the tournament continue and long may we continue to enjoy Lanson whilst watching tennis’ very best players battle it out on grass”, says Derek Kilpin, Great Domaines’ general manager and partner.

Champagne Lanson has supplied its Champagnes to The Championships, Wimbledon since 1977.

Champagne Lanson was selected as the ‘Official Supplier of Champagne to The Championships’ in 2001.
