One of the exciting opportunities arising from Creation’s now fully mature, virus-free vineyards is the ability to select exceptionally high quality pockets of grapes that provide the ultimate expression of terroir and release them in a single vineyard bottling. 

Only seven barrels of the 2015 Creation Sumac Grenache were made and the last bottles are selling out fast. The vineyard is named for the exotic African spice, Sumac, which is characterised by a certain brightness and liveliness which is also evident in the wine. Deep crimson with a secret glimmer of purple to capture the imagination, the wine offers intense aromas of cranberry, exotic spice and nuances of dark rose petal. It is a cooler climate Grenache with a feast of bright pomegranate, red currant, cracked peppercorn and a sprinkling of sumac lingering on the velvety palate.
