Drink Java from Cups Made of Coffee Beans

Berlin artist Julian Lechner has turned used coffee beans into usable “coffee-ware”

Kaffeeform is a cup and saucer tandem that is made entirely from coffee beans and renewable materials. The creator, Julian Lechner, spent five years fine-tuning his formula to create a reusable, renewable and durable material from used ground coffee beans that otherwise end up in the trash bin.

Lechner shares that he always begins his day with an expresso the Italian way. Seeing how much ground coffee he used and threw away, he found potential for a novel renewable material from the stuff.
