Franschhoek Summer Wines – A Garden Party with a Twist

This year’s Franschhoek Summer Wines which took place on 16 March at Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards, has been described as a stylish ‘garden party’. With breathtaking views and superb weather, guests, who came dressed elegantly in white (some with a dash of colour), were treated to some of Franschhoek’s finest summer wines. Winemakers were able to engage with visitors whilst showcasing their best white, rosé and MCC wines.

Ensuring an all round experience visitors were treated to live music whilst leisurely browsing the wines on show, enjoying a delicious deli delight from the Leopard’s Leap Harvest Table or simply relaxing in the lounge area whilst admiring the views.

The event, which is kept small and exclusive, doubled in numbers since its inaugural year in 2012, with just under 400 visitors attending this year. In keeping it niche organisers aim to grow the event each year with exclusive offerings, but keeping it to no more than 500 visitors.
