The results for the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards are in and Franschhoek Wine Valley is proud to announce that three of its producers earned Gold at this prestigious event. These were awarded to Bellingham (Small Barrel Shiraz-Mouvèdre-Viognier 2014), Boschendal (Appellation Series Sauvignon Blanc 2016 and Shiraz 2015) and Babylonstoren (Nebukadnesar 2014).
The judging panel comprised 219 experts who tasted 17 200 entries. The panel included 65 Masters of Wine and 20 Master Sommeliers. All the wines at DWWA were blind tasted against their peers and by the panel in a particular region or style.
