Introducing the new vintage and packaging for Leopard’s Leap Classic Collection Shiraz

We have just introduced the 2014 vintage of our popular Classic Collection Shiraz.

Presented in a new, curvaceous bottle, the packaging of the 2014 vintage now suits its typical Rhone-style characteristics: voluptuous but elegant, complex but accessible.

On the nose well-defined flavours of plum and blackberry combine with subtle undertones of cracked black pepper, clove and coriander, while the palate follows through with a refined tannin structure and lingering aftertaste.

A popular choice with the delicious roast meats from the Rotisserie at Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards, this new vintage of the Leopard’s Leap Shiraz promises to be an exceptional choice with a variety of red meat – game, herb-infused lamb and grilled steak. It also partners well with the smoky character of grilled vegetables.

Made from 100% Shiraz grapes originating from the very on-trend Swartland and Perdeberg areas. 50% of the wine was matured in 225-litre French oak barrels for a period of 12 months. The balance of the wine was oak staved for 6 months with added micro-oxygenation.
