Energy drink that gives you an erection banned in Australia

An energy drink created to give men a ‘lift’ in the bedroom has been banned after it was found to contain a prescription only erectile dysfunction drug.

MosKa, promoted as herbal energy drink for adults to boost sexual performance, tested positive for the drug Vardenafil, or Levitra.

It was banned in Australia after testers found the ‘undeclared ingredient’ which can cause priapism, a medical condition in which the penis can remain erect for more than four hours.

In a statement posted on its website, MosKa manufacturers blamed the presence of the drug on an ‘overseas supplier’.

‘We are devastated to have found that the overseas OEM supplier for MosKa energy for adults had included an undeclared ingredient, Vardenafil (Levitra), within the natural ingredients,’ it said.

‘As such, we have terminated the supplier and in the process of producing the product with our own formulation to ensure no hidden ingredients.

‘All our future products will be tested for compliance with all regulatory requirements.’
