The cool climate Hemel-en-Aarde region with its strong maritime influence has been famous for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines since the late 1970s. At Creation we live up to this proud reputation with wines reflecting our unique Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge terroir.

Rave reviews and glittering star ratings confirm the quality of our Chardonnay and our recently released 2012 vintage simply zings with flavour! On the nose layers of sun-kissed pear and peach are enhanced by fresh minerality and a hint of vanilla. The full-bodied palate is generously fruity and subtly spicy with well-judged acidity. “This beautifully balanced wine is sensational with an avocado ritz with prawns,” says Creation co-owner, Carolyn Martin.

An ever-growing list of accolades also confirms the outstanding quality of our Pinot Noir. These range from an impressive 91 points allocated by The Wine Gang (five of the UK’s most experienced wine critics) to a 5-star rating in the Flemish newspaper, Het Laatste Nieuws.  Our latest release, the 2012 Creation Pinot Noir, combines attractive hints of violet and raspberry with a gorgeous pinch of spice. On the silky smooth palate a mélange of lush red berry flavours is supported by lithe tannins. According to Carolyn this elegant wine is the perfect partner to duck breast with mushrooms and lentils.

And speaking of Pinot: pinophiles will also be happy to learn that the 2012 Creation Reserve Pinot Noir is due for release in March 2013. The 2010 and 2011 vintages were allocated 92 and 90 points respectively by the leading US wine critic, Robert Parker and our 2012 vintage promises to be another winner!
