Nederburg`s pedigree raised another notch

One of Nederburg’s most decorated wines has just done it again. The 2012 Winemaster’s Reserve Noble Late Harvest has won its second International Sweet Wine Challenge trophy in London. Two years ago, the wine won the trophy in the best young sweet wine category. This time round, it brought home the trophy for the best botrytised Chenin Blanc on the show.

It has already established an impressive pedigree. A Platter South African Wine Guide five-star wine, it also won a gold outstanding medal at the 2014 International Wine & Spirit Competition and a 2014 Veritas double gold, as well as golds at both the Six Nations Wine Challenge and the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show.

Lauded for its gingered apricot and honey aromas and flavours, and its lively acidity, it has also attracted top scores from tastemakers such as the UK critic, Tom Cannavan and from sommeliers in Europe.

A few cases of the 2012 vintage are still available from the Vinoteque as well as directly, from Nederburg itself. Orders can be made online via www.vinoteque.co.za or via http://www.nederburg.com/za/, or by contacting Nederburg on 021 862 3104.

The Winemaster’s Reserve Noble Late Harvest is the only botrytised wine from Nederburg sold on the open market. All its other wines in this style are sold exclusively on the Nederburg Auction.
