Polish Vodka brand supports fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa with limited addition red bottle

Belvedere has launched the 2017 limited edition red bottle, in partnership with (RED), to support the work of The Global Fund and its fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.

The Drinks Business reports that the 2017 edition features an illustration of the Polish presidential palace in Warsaw and the bottle has a pearl-matte finish. Since the launch of Belvedere RED, the bottles have funded treatment for over 40,000 women living with HIV and has helped stop the transmission to their children.

Rodney Williams, president of Belvedere Vodka, commented: “Our longstanding partnership with (RED) has been a remarkable journey, and remains crucial to our values and what we stand for.”

“Belvedere’s ability to raise awareness and become a critical part of the fight for an AIDS-free generation, is something we take great pride in.”

(RED) was founded in 2006 and partners with global brands that contribute up to half of their profits from (RED)-branded goods to the Global Fund. It has contributed over $465 million to the Global Fund to help fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and to support HIV/AIDS grants in Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia.
