Pop-up restaurant run by nuns to open in London

Rumour has it that London is to be treated to a pop-up soup restaurant run by nuns called Nundos.

According to reports in the Evening Standard, Nundos in Shoreditch, will be run by Norfolk convent members of the Roman Catholic order of The Daughters of Divine Charity. It’s set to open for business from 17 to 19 October 2017.

The nuns will be serving up food to soothe the soul, from Mother Superior’s chicken broth and lentil soup to homemade apple pies.

The best part? The food will be free but, of cause, there’s one catch – mobile phones are banned and have to be placed in an amnesty box when guests enter the restaurant.

Nundos doesn’t take bookings, but will run at the White Rabbit events space in Shoreditch between 11.30am and 8pm on 17 October and 11.30am and 3pm on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th.
