Take a small sip of gin & tonic, followed by a bite of nougat at Blaauwklippen Vineyards in Stellenbosch. As the nougat layers your taste buds, take a second sip & enjoy the flavour balance.

Bigger isn’t always better! The Blaauwklippen Family Market has reopened with a fresh focus on small and local – a place to meet farmers, entrepreneurs, designers, cooks and crafters, and shop for seasonal produce and hand-crafted and sustainably-produced goods.

Blaauwklippen’s new Farm Shop & Deli is all about local, offering a country-style destination in the heart of Stellenbosch that’s easily accessible for locals and stocks the best of locally grown and produced deli fare.

At the end of a long week, gather the family round the table and let the creative duo of Hamm & Uys do the cooking with a home-delivered three-course Sunday lunch of traditional favourites served up with their characteristic fun and flair.

Paying homage to more than 300 years of wine history and the distinctive blue-grey granite that gave the farm its original name, Blaauwklippen has released a classic Bordeaux blend in their range of premium red wines – De Blaauwe Klip 2017.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on the transport of wine and other alcoholic beverages, entries for the keenly contested Blaauwklippen Blending Competition has been extended to the end of June 2020.

Down to earth with a rich history and winemaking tradition, Blaauwklippen produces wines of distinction in harmony with the simplicity of country living. Shaped by centuries, people are at the heart of Blaauwklippen’s legacy that we shard in abundance with contemporary design and artisanal flair.

Wine clubs from across South Africa are invited to try their hands at the art of wine blending in the 37th edition of the keenly contested Blaauwklippen Blending Competition.

The winning blend will be sold under the BBC label in a Magnum (1.5 litre) bottle where all the blends of the individual wine clubs/societies will compete against each other. The top four scores of all entries will determine the semi-finalists. The four semi-finalists will then be invited to Blaauwklippen, where the winner will be announced at an award ceremony attended by selected guests and media.

At Blaauwklippen, the safety of our people and customers are our greatest priority.
