Why you should drink full-fat milk

Slim milk is generally thought to be the best choice for those who want to watch their waistline and stay healthy, but a new study has found that we may be better off sticking with the full-fat option.

Researchers from Tufts University have found that those who drink whole milk may have a lower risk of diabetes compared to those that do not.

Experts studied data from 3,333 adults, aged between 30 and 75, that took part over the course of 15 years.

The study found that individuals with high levels of dairy fat in their blood were at a 46 percent lower risk of developing diabetes mellitus than those that had low levels of dairy fat in the blood.
