Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mill sits serenely over the River Test, an area of natural beauty at the very heart of Hampshire. Otters, brown trout and kingfishers have been spotted in this part of the river, and Laverstoke is also home to bats, red kites and egrets. It?s these creatures, the river they depend on and the surrounding countryside that the design team at Heatherwick Studio were adamant to preserve when drawing up plans to redevelop the site into a modern distillery fit to create Bombay Sapphire?s world-famous gin.
