8th annual Blackberry Festival: Saturday-Sunday, noon-5 p.m., White Silo Farm & Winery, 32 Route 37 E., Sherman, 860-355-0271, whitesilowinery.com. This festival features small plates of food prepared with White Silo’s farm-grown blackberries. Menu: Quinoa and sweet potato cake with blackberry salsa, arugula honeydew melon with blackberries and feta, blackberry basil chicken wrap, blackberry peach crisp, blackberry sorbet, and Greek yogurt blackberry parfait. Admission is free with wine and food available for a fee. Live music from 1-4:30 p.m. both days. Free winery and field tours will be held throughout the day. Children are welcome to join their parents.
