Greg Landman’s coming of age party at Crust last night should have been called Crush as pepper pots, pansies and the proleterait crammed this Bree street bistro to wish Greg “heppy heppy.”  Here are some of the wine writers, with the birthday boy.

With Platanna launching next Friday and clashing with the Swartland Revolution and a Commanderie Fete de la Fleur funksie on De Wetshof in Robertson, conversation was deeply “off the record.” So much so, it started to sound like a broken record.

We’re off to Riebeek-Kasteel in the rain just now for a dry run of the Swartland Revolution. Can’t wait to ask Riebeek Cellars’ cellar master Zakkie Bester for his opinion on news that the Mullineux power couple (below) have asked that Riebeek-Kasteel by renamed Rajastan-Kerala in honour of the new shareholder Analjit Singh in Mullineux Wines.  Goodness gracious me!

Rajastan means “land of kings” but in my experience “land of queens” would be more a propos. Only saying…
