SA`s First Ever Pizza Delivery Service Moves To Cape Town`s East City

Call-A-Pizza, the first ever pizza delivery service in South Africa, packed up shop after almost 31 years in Sea Point, to move to 69 Hope Street in Cape Town’s East City.

Known for their Psytrance and next-level pizzas (see top images), Call-A-Pizza’s exodus mimics that of fellow Sea Point expatriate, New York Bagels, who moved to Harrington Street a couple of years ago.

With rent and development rampant on the Atlantic Seaboard small independents are now looking elsewhere.

Already known as “coffee central”, coupled with a recent influx of bars and nightlife, the East City is an attractive alternative. So much so that franchises like Bootlegger – and soon RocoMamas – open shop here.

As hipsters make way for yuccies in Buitenkant and Harrington Street, one can always depend on Hope Street for the oddball character while experience the gritty vibe of the original East City.
