South African Chardonnay Awarded As The Best In The World

The Decanter World Wine Awards 2017 results are out and South Africa has walked away with the best Chardonnay of the show, again.

Elgin winery, Paul Cluverreceived the prestigious Platinum Best in Show award for it’s Seven Flags Chardonnay 2016. South Africa’s reputation as a world class Chardonnay producer is growing steadily, claiming best in show for two consecutive years, with Demorgenzon Chardonnay picking up the award last year.

Klein Constantia also received a Platinum Best in Show medal for its famed Vin de Constance, making 2017 South Africa’s best year to date at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
