Tribe Coffee Celebrates The Rainy Season in Cape Town With A New Winter Lunch Menu

Chef Oliver Mutombo is ready to embark on his latest menu creations for winter time in Cape Town. Tribe 112 in Buitengracht street has unveiled its new seasonal lunch and drinks menus to showcase the rich and hearty flavours of African cuisine that he is known for, given his Congolese background.

When introducing the new menu items, Oliver explained that it was time to spice up his lighter summer dishes with a some comfort food with robust flavours.

As for what inspires this enthusiastic chef, it’s simple: he’s all about the ingredients. “I’m often inspired by a single ingredient that can complement the rest of a dish. I love showing the range of one thing and how it can bring out different flavours in others.”

The winter menu include several moreish dishes such as the BBQ Tribe Beef Burger, Thai Chicken Curry, Durban Style Beef Roti and a 6 hours slow cooked pulled pork sandwich.

 

For those in need of a liquid substance, Tribe has delicious red and white wines sourced from Publik Wines, gin from Hope on Hopkins and beer from Atlantic Storm, Jack Black and more.

Coffee lovers can indulge in Tribe’s daily special for only R15 a cup between 6:30am to 9am.
