US brewery creates fried chicken beer

There are few better combinations than beer and fried chicken. And now, they come together.

Two United States companies, The Veil Brewing Co. and Evil Twin Brewing, have joined together to create the Fried Fried Chicken Chicken beer.

The beer is made with real chicken pieces, which are infused into the Indian Pale Ale.

“The idea came to us after eating a significant amount of fried chicken,” Veil Brewing said on Facebook.

Veil says the recipe contains only a very small amount of poultry and that the finished IPA doesn’t taste like chicken, which may come as a disappointment to some people.

It may be a coincidence, but the heavily hopped beer does have a very fried chicken-looking color. The limited-edition beer came out in late July at Veil’s taproom in Richmond, Virginia.
