You Can Now Drink Beer Infused With Real Moon Dust

Adventurous drinkers can now imbibe a bit of the moon thanks to Delaware-based Dogfish Head Brewery. It has released a special brew, ‘Celest-jewel-ale’, which contains finely crushed particles of actual lunar meteorites, to celebrate the fall equinox. The brewery collaborated with ILC Dover, the company that makes NASA’s spacesuits, to acquire the actual celestial dust. The samples of meteorites were crushed into an Oktoberfest ale, and even enhances the flavour. The brewery explains in a blog post:

These certified moon jewels are made up primarily of minerals and salts, yelping the yeast-induced fermentation process and lending this traditional German style a subtle but complex earthiness. (Or is it mooniness?)
