Zuma and wives spend R65 000 on drinks while eating out.

South African president and racketeer, Jacob Zuma, recently took the wives out for dinner at the Signature Restaurant in Morningside Shopping Centre, Johannesburg. The final bill came to R73 053.50 of which R65 198.50 went to the bar. Now that’s a good night out.

The night started off on a celebratory note with six bottles of Veuve Clicquot NV Champagne, totalling R8 200. The only South African drink to make it to the table was two bottles of the “look-Im-rich-now” Meerlust Rubicon (R1 670), but it was a bubbly kind of night with two bottles of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose (R4 600) and two bottles of Louis Roederer Cristal Brut (R17 000).

And no night out is completed without five glasses of Tokaji dessert wine (R1750) and two Cohiba Robustos Cigars (R850).

Oh and the go-to drink? Sixty shots of Glenfiddich 26 year old whisky (R29 700).
