A recent infographic released by bwin on Super Bowl facts, revealed that Americans consume 211 million pints of beer on Super Bowl day alone. And with the Super Bowl LI fast approaching, we decided to take a look at 15 more facts about our favourite beverage.

15. Beer is 5,000 years old.

Residue of beer brewing ingredients has been found on ancient fragments of pottery in both Iran and China from over 5,000 years ago.

14. Beer is good for the skin.

Czech company Chodovar offers spa treatments with beer, including a bath in beer brewing ingredients. They claim that their treatments can boost blood circulation, soften the skin and open up pores. We’re not sure we’re convinced, but we’d still like to try bathing in our favourite brew!
