5 Alcoholic Beverages straight from Hollywood

Celebrities and booze go hand in hand. Over the years we’ve seen many super stars launching their own liquor brands. Some are successful and others just plain overpriced. Nevertheless, it’s always interesting to see the type of alcoholic beverage celebrities pick to represent their public profile.

Here’s a list of 5 celebrity alcohol brands

Ludacris’ cognac

Grammy-award-winning rapper Ludacris launched his cognac, “Conjure,” in 2010. Ludacris once stated that he throws himself into all business ventures, and that his cognac was no different. The artist traveled to Bordeaux where he tasted more than 40 different brandies to create his personalized product. The cognac retails at around $35 a bottle.

Danny DeVito’s Limoncello

The traditional Italian lemon-flavored liqueur Limoncello was a natural fit for Italian-American actor Danny DeVito. Launched in 2010, DeVito’s Limoncello comes with some unexpected treats, like scratch-‘n-sniff labels and a theme song: “Danny DeVito’s Limoncello, it’s a taste delight from this famous fellow…”

Marilyn Manson’s Madness in a Bottle

It’s no suprise that shock-rocker Marilyn Manson would go for something like Absinthe to represent his crazy antics. The highly alcoholic green-hued liquid is made in Switzerland, and you still can’t get your hands on a bottle of Mansinthe in many U.S. states. The bottle is decorated with the musician’s artwork, which renders him as a hunched, old man.

Trump Vodka

Known for having his fingers in many pies, Donald Trump released his Trump Vodka in 2006. The super premium liquor was touted as the “epitome of vodka” and Trump said the brand would transcend the vodka category to the point where people would request a T&T – Trump and Tonic. Alas, the dream faded along with the popularity of the vodka, which went out of production last year.

MmmBop from The Hanson brothers

Remember them? They are the late 1990s version of Justin Bieber, times three. Today they are all grown up and marketing their one-time pop culture success to their now-adult fans. The youngest brother, Zac, announced that the trio has created an India pale ale due out early next year: “Mmmhop IPA anyone?,” he said during a recent event.
