A New Brunch Has Dawned At Creation

At Creation one exciting innovation often leads to another. Such is the case with our new brunch menu, which inspired by our recently launched Creation Aromatic Winter Experience, transforms brunch into a unique and irresistible feast for the senses.

The aromatic four-course adventure kicks off with a glass of Elation MCC on arrival. Pure joy! As an accompaniment you are treated to an equally uplifting surprise. A fragrant cup of ginger-infused tea further titillates the senses. Ginger of course is a stimulant, heightening your appreciation of what is to follow …

Ever thought of enjoying a glass of wine with your morning muesli? Well, this is exactly what the First Course has to offer. But not just any muesli: think Gluten-free Oats, Oat Milk, Elderflower, Apple, Poppy Seeds, Lime, Sultanas, Maple Syrup and a dash of Ginger. Delectably paired with the generous tropical fruit spectrum and minerality of our Creation Sauvignon Blanc, this course transports you from the Swiss Alps to Creation!  

For the Second Course, look forward to our chic Creation Chardonnay, artfully paired with Rosemary Potato Rosti, Poached Egg, Hollandaise, Exotic Tomato, Pineapple Sage and Lavender. A signature of our cool-climate wines is their food-friendliness and this is a shining example. The crisp acidity of the Chardonnay cuts through the creaminess of the eggs and hollandaise. The freshness of the tomatoes and rosemary complement that of the wine while the fruitiness of the wine is beautifully contrasted by the savoury bresaola.

Then for the Third Course, Prince Charming comes strolling through the forest, picking wild berries … (This of course is my favourite metaphor for my favourite red: Pinot Noir.) Accompanied by Brioche Toast, Exotic Mushrooms and Mushroom Cream, our Creation Art of Pinot Noir creates sheer aromatic alchemy. The gorgeous earthiness of the wine matches the profile of the mushrooms while the yeastiness of the brioche resonates with the berry bouquet of the wine.

Last but not least, discover a Crêpe Suzette that has become a ‘Cape’ Suzette – with naartjie, cinnamon and milk tart filling! Indeed, at Creation there’s always something new. Described as ‘joyful and vivacious with pertinent peach snuggling up to the secret subtleties of ripe pear’, our lively Creation Viognier adds charisma to this nifty and super tasty innovation. The primary aromatics of the wine lift the zesty citrus and spice in the dish while the milk tart filling complements the lees character and creaminess of the Viognier.
