A Restaurant In Singapore Has Launched The World`s First Edible Cocktail Menu

The Tippling Club restaurant in Singapore has launched what it claims to be the world’s first edible cocktail menu based around dreams and desires.

The concept is the brainchild of head bartender Joe Schofield and chef-owner Ryan Clift.

Those who are lucky enough to visit the esteemed establishment are presented with a dozen gummy bears in a green-and-white striped candy bag.

The sweets correspond to the 12 different cocktails on the restaurant’s new ‘Dreams and Desires’ list, each mirroring the taste of a specific cocktail.

“With the first ‘Sensorium’ menu we looked to the past, using relatable scents to trigger memories of yesteryear. This time round we have our sights set on the future, by evoking our innermost dreams and desires through taste,” Schofield told The Drinks Business.

“The edible gummy bear menu, while deceptively simple, involved months of research and development before we narrowed it down to 12 perfected flavour formulas we felt best represent the dreams and desires we wanted to convey,” he added.

Taking inspiration to some extent from the seven deadly sins, among the cocktails on the menu are ‘Lust’, ‘Power’ and ‘Revenge’.

Each cocktail is priced at S$24 (£13.35) so that guests choose their drink based on their dreams and desires, without being overly influenced by price.
