An Easter Celebration à la Creation

At Creation we celebrate holidays and special occasions creating memories. This year we’ve decided to blend a little nostalgia with a hearty helping of innovation to create a traditional South African Easter menu with an exciting difference: Hot Cross Buns, Pickled Fish, Guinea Fowl and a Nest Dessert!

Among the reinvented Easter favourites are the scrumptious Grenache and Syrah hot cross buns made with harvest must. This will be followed by the pickled fish made according to a special recipe to pair with the Creation Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon. The guinea fowl will be served with beetroot mash, root vegetables, crispy prosciutto, sumac and fig jus – a perfect seasonal pairing with the Creation Pinot Noir. And then the pièce de résistance … a nest dessert of passion fruit mousse with goat’s-milk cheese, pineapple and elder flower, chervil salsa and a parmesan stick! Click here to read further.

Creation and WSET

Members of our team recently participated in a WSET training course held here at Creation. W.S.E.T. is the internationally recognised ‘Wine and Spirit Education Trust’ that is recognised as the industry standard in wine education around the world. The main focus was on key grape varieties and regions of the world, principle varieties of spirits and wine and food pairing. Upon visiting our Tasting Room you will notice the lapel pins proudly worn by the 11 team members who passed WSET Level 2 to offer you an even more enriching wine experience at Creation.
