Bathe In The Hops At Iceland’s First Beer Spa

A beer spa has opened up in Iceland, apparently the country’s first — as if people needed another reason to want to go to Iceland.

Bjorbodin Spa is located in the tiny remote village of Arskogssandur, home to the Kaldi brewery, located about 245 miles Northeast of Reykjavik.

The spa offers beer baths in tubs made of Kambala wood, of which there are seven in total. There are also two outdoor hot tubs.

You are not supposed to drink the bathwater, which (we think) includes seawater, but the tubs are equipped with beer taps.  There is no age limit for the beer bath because the bathwater is undrinkable. The taps are for those over age 20, and people under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
