Boplaas Family Vineyards in Calitzdorp is currently producing their first red straw wine from red muscadel grapes.

Straw wine, is a wine made from grapes that have been dried to concentrate their juice. There is different methods of drying the grapes and at Boplaas we leave them to dry on the vine.

The wine we produce is sweet and ideally served chilled in summer time.
