Boplaas Family Vineyards did very well with their Boplaas Cape Portuguese Red Wine Daniel’s Legacy 2013 at this years Cape Winemakers Guild Auction. The top price for the wine was R5000/ 6 bottles.

The wine is named after Carel Nel’s dad Daniel Nel who planted the first Tinta Barocca vineyards in Calitzdorp.

The wine is a blend of Tinta Barocca, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional and Shiraz. This wine as rated 93 points by Wine Spectator and 93 points by Michael Chan.
