Coca-Cola launches limited-edition coffee flavour

COCA-COLA has unveiled it’s most controversial flavour yet – it’s mixed its imitable fizzy drink with pure COFFEE.

The new flavour, dubbed Coca-Cola Coffee Plus, has more caffeine than a ‘normal’ can of Coke, and less than a cappuccino.

It has 14mg of caffeine per 100ml, compared to the usual 9mg – and way less than the frothy coffee favourite’s 43mg.

Sadly for South African caffeine fans, the new flavour is is only available in Australia, where it’s being released to coincide with the start of their summer.

Last year they were given ginger flavoured Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola Australia spokeswoman Lisa Winn said: “Australians have a love-affair with coffee so we thought why not give them more of what they want.

“We think it will be a great-tasting afternoon pick-me-up – like a delicious antidote to the 3pm slump.”

The variety is already available in Japan, where people seem to be quite keen on the taste.
