Come quickly, I’m drinking Smurf Wine. The world’s first blue sparkling wine!

Recently one of my 2014 Wine Tasting Notes caused so much commotion across my social media channels that I thought I had better get my wine drinking butt into gear and do up a proper blog post for it so that all you lovely people can learn about and drink Smurf Wine too!!

Why am I calling it Smurf Wine? Well quite simply its blue! It’s a sparkling wine that is a super pretty cyan blue colour.

Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux sparkling wine challenges the senses and opens your imagination to the possibilities of the wonderful world of wine. This baby blue wine also won silver honors in the 2012 BevStar Awards by the way!

If you wondering what the heck all that gibberish on the label means, well it’s actually French and ‘Blanc de Bleu’ means ‘white of blue’ and ‘cuvée mousseux’ literally means ‘sparkling cuvee’.

Premium Vintages Cellars are the company behind these unique bottle of bubbles and after many years of research and talking to hundreds of wineries they came up with this beautiful product which is the worlds first blue sparkling wine. I have to admit, it’s a pretty yet rather sexy bottle at the same time.
