Create your own unique swimming hat with all the frills and trimmings! Use the Mardi Gras theme as inspiration for your green, purple and gold hat. And then, take a BIG splash into the Swartvlei Lake. Remember our theme: Once upon a time, it all started with Bears, Fairies, Princes’, Princesses, (frogs too), Kings and fabulous Queens. A modern-day LGBTQ+ fairy tale!

09:00 to 09:30    Briefing to be done

09:30 to 10:00     Swimmers get ready

10:00 to 11:00     Swimmers take the plunge

How to enter

Participants can enter online or at Lakeside Lodge & Spa.

Go to shop.benguelacove.co.za to purchase your tickets.

Submit your name, contact number, and email address.

Print your ticket and bring it along with you on the day.

Rules

200m swim must be completed from start to finish.

Swimmers will go out in batches of 20 every 10minutes.

Their hat needs to be worn at all times during the swim.

The hat must be Mardi Gras themed.

Participants need to sign an indemnity form.

Anyone over the age of 14 may participate.

Prize

A weekend away for two at Lakeside Lodge and Spa including a 30min, back, neck and shoulder massage.

Food and Drinks

Street style food will be sold, as well as refreshments.
