Could wine be packaged like an energy drink?

A good bottle of wine is a sensory experience for the nose and tongue, but why not also to the touch and what about the poor old eyes?

It may be a bit rock star, but we’re loving the design and packaging of this Rubyy Blood Orange Energy Drink. Looking more like a stencilled tattoo than a soft drink, it begs the question whether a classic bottle of Chardonnay could receive the ‘blacklight’ treatment and still crack the nod as a serious contender on the fine dining tables of Michelin-starred restaurants. Or is the brand then relegated to the smokey hip hop nightclubs of downtown Joburg .
