Last Monday saw members of the Black Cellar Club (BLACC) visiting Creation. Founded in September this year, BLACC is described as a communication engine and networking platform for like-minded black African sommeliers and wine stewards throughout Africa.

According to Creation co-owner Carolyn Martin the group, who enjoyed the tapas pairing, was “a fantastic audience”. “I reckon more than a thousand questions were asked in the six hours we spent together. We exchanged ideas about pairing wine and food, the quality and scope of locally produced wines and the opportunities for them to enlighten consumers and elevate the status of South African wines in their fabulous restaurants.”
