We started our holiday in Nidau, Switzerland on the banks of Lake Bienne where my parents-in-law live.  The weather was glorious and we spent a few golden days simply fishing on the lake, checking out beavers on the river’s edge late at night and feeding ‘pet fish’ in the canal.  A super spoil was my mother-in-law’s irresistible apricot tart (click here for the recipe), and then of course the World Cup Soccer supplied edge-of-the-seat excitement.
