Franschhoek Vignerons come out tops at Prescient Cabernet Sauvignon Report

Five Franschhoek Vignerons were amongst the top performers to score 90 points or higher in the fifth annual Prescient Cabernet Sauvignon Report (formerly known as the Christian Eedes Cabernet Sauvignon Report). The star producers were Plaisir de Merle, Boekenhoutskloof, Môreson, Rickety Bridge and Stony Brook.

According to founder, Christian Eedes, there were 12 wines out of the 60 submitted which each received a score of 90 points or higher on the 100-point scale. The wines were tasted blind and scored accordingly. The panel was chaired by Eedes who was joined in the judging process by Roland Peens and James Pietersen, both Cape Town merchants and cellarers of fine wines.
