George Clooney says he will not be celebrating his Golden Globe win with alcohol. The star managed to score a Golden Globe for Best Actor, but he is pretty sure his liver needs a little break from all the celebrating.

The 50-year-old has fallen into the same ritual as millions of other folks and has made himself a New Year’s resolution. You can probably guess what it is. “I’ve made a little New Year’s deal that I wouldn’t drink for a while… I’m giving my liver a chance to catch back up,” the star said after his big win on Sunday night. Clooney has become somewhat famous for carrying his own flask to the often boring awards ceremonies. Sunday night he left his trademark flask at home. Television host Mario Lopez quickly remedied the situation and presented George Clooney with a new shiny flask complete with his drink of choice, vodka.
