Glen Carlou releases The Collection Wines

An exciting addition to the Glen Carlou brand portfolio for 2018 – the release of The Glen Carlou Collection Wines.

The Curator’s Collection which was our winery specific label was previously enjoyed by numerous guests. However, to share our Glen Carlou experience with our global market partners we have refreshed the range to The Glen Carlou Collection.

The new release wines are all site-specific and a true expression of their terroir, the fruit being what our winemaker believes to be exceptional examples. The production will be limited to being from a few barrels only.

Each release will have its own narrative from origin through winemaking, with distinctive aspects framing the uniqueness of the wine. A Collection of wines to endorse that we delight in doing ordinary things, extraordinarily well.

The new Collection wines have already enthralled local and global writers and judges. The 2018 Collection Chenin Blanc was awarded 95 points from Master of Wine Tim Atkin. The 2017 Collection Red Blend awarded 4.5 Platter stars and Double Gold in the Michelangelo Wine Awards, while the 2017 Collection Malbec received a Veritas Gold. Philip Theron’s selection as a finalist in the Diner’s Club Young Winemaker of the Year competition was also secured by the Malbec.

The Collection comprises of a Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Malbec and a Red Blend.

These wines are exclusively available from the winery and to our Glen Carlou Club Members. The Collection wines will be limited to 6 bottles per varietal per person, with the exception of the 2018 Collection Chenin Blanc only 3 bottles per person.
