Graham Beck rolls out the red carpet at this year’s Wacky Wine Weekend

The popular annual Wacky Wine Weekend presents visitors with the ultimate opportunity to experience Graham Beck’s renowned hospitality and infectious enthusiasm for the finer things in life. Now in its 11th year, this fun-filled festival showcases the beauty, variety and genial generosity which has made the Robertson Wine Valley such a sought after destination for wine and food lovers across the globe.

This year’s festivities, taking place from 5 – 8 June 2014, promise to be even more glorious and gastronomically fabulous than ever before, with Graham Beck proudly taking on the role as one of the Valley’s favourite ambassadors. Festival-goers can look forward to sampling delicious wines from our range together with delectable gourmet delicacies, whilst revelling in great music and indulging in eminent local and international works of art, savoured against the backdrop of our estate’s spectacular scenery.

The stellar line-up of attractions includes an opportunity to enjoy our cellar door experience where guests can admire the Beck family’s private art collection as they take in the magnificent views from our tasting venue. Here, cutting-edge architecture and the beauty of the surroundings blend perfectly to create an unforgettable tasting encounter, as you sample our range of award winning wines and Cap Classique wines. We’ll be welcoming you from Thursday until Saturday between 9am and 5pm and on Sunday from 9am until 4pm – entrance is free to Wacky passport holders.

Another festival highlight is our Master Class tastings where you’ll have the chance to savour a taste bud feast featuring sublime pairings of our wines with mini canapés. These 60-minute gourmet sessions (taking place on Thursday at 3pm and Friday at 4pm) are led by one of our winemakers and cost R100 per person. Bookings are required.

Also on this year’s agenda will be the ever popular Graham Beck Wacky Wine ‘tantalising tent extravaganza’. This is the ideal place to meet up with friends and partake in the very best our team has to offer. Tuck into scrumptious nibbles such as fresh oysters and gourmet burgers and pitas complemented, as always, by our range of fine wines and MCC’s. This venue will be a festival favourite all weekend long from 10am until 7pm on Friday, 9am until 5pm on Saturday and between 10am and 4pm on Sunday. Entrance is free to Wacky passport holders.

Wacky guests will know by now that Graham Beck always has a musical treat up their sleeves and this year we’ll be blowing you away with two of the country’s hottest acts on Saturday evening from 7pm until 11pm. Arno Carstens and aKING are collaborating for an acoustic tour de force, accompanied by superb food and our Graham Beck wines and bubblies which will be available for purchase. Tickets cost R170 per person (glass included) and you’ll need to reserve your place.
