In the spirit of Spreading Creation Magic, we recently shared the most fabulous virtual experience with members of the Joburg Wine Club. Titled What’s Wrong with Groovin’, it was a wonderful opportunity for Tasting Together, Apart.  

Here are some of the magic moments captured at the Davinci Hotel, with Nkulu Mkwanazi and Joburg Wine Club members, Kaya FM and DJs Kenzhero, Tebogo Moalusi and Muziwethu Mtshali feeling groovy.  Thank you for organising and realising this great event, Mariette Helmbold du Toit and Annareth Bolton. We will soon be launching our new Paradoxical Wine and Chocolate Pairing in association with Richard von Geusau Chocolates and look forward to treating you to a truly extraordinary experience on our beautiful estate. Local is lekker and in fact, the best, when it comes to luxury chocolates produced by a famed chocolatier in our neighbourhood. Further good news is that you will also be able to enjoy these pairings in the comfort of your own home with friends and family when we make them available online. What more could anyone wish for than award-winning wines paired with delightfully decadent chocolates – maybe some flowers? 

Well, it’s spring and we are blessed with the most beautiful flowers in our tasting room; among them the gorgeous King and Sylvia Proteas and in our fynbos garden, Madiba and Pincushion Proteas.  The swallows arrived ten days ago and the vineyards are budding in the most exquisite shades of green.  Visit us soon virtually or in person! – Carolyn Martin
