It’s the time of the year when everyone on the wine farms are busy picking grapes.Riebeek Cellars already received over half of the estimated 18 000 tons of grapes, 2 100 ton red grapes and 8 200 ton of white grapes. The high temperatures cause the sugar levels to increase and it lowers the acid. The overall quality of the harvest is looking very good and compares well to the previous season. We are all looking forward to this year’s wine.
