Hot Dogs topped with spicy relish and mustard sauce

It’s quick, easy and totally irresistible when paired with a Pinotage. 

Ingredients

  • hot dog buns
  • quarts water
  • Frankfurters or Russians
  • cup  finely diced white onion
  • diced tomato
  • cup  pepperdews
  • cup  prepared mustard
  • jalapeño peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Wrap buns in foil; bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Remove from oven, and keep warm.
  3. Fry onions, pepperdews and tomatoes together.
  4. Bring 2 quarts water to a simmer in a large saucepan. Add franks; simmer 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Drain well. Place 1 frank in each heated bun. Top each frank with the tomato, onions and pepperdew relish, and about 2 teaspoons mustard. Serve with peppers.
