London Tonic Producer Launches Range of Cocktails Inspired by South Africa, Mexico and Thailand

As staycations are replacing exotic escapes, a drinks company in the UK created three drinks, intended to “evoke the sensory experience” of some of the unforgettable and breathtaking destinations in the world.

The London Essence Company has collaborated with mixologist Pritesh Mody and taste psychologist Greg Tucker to develop a series of cocktails that intend to bring to life the flavours of South Africa, Mexico and Thailand.

Inspired by South African braai, the ‘Pinotage Spritz’ combines South African Pinotage with The London Essence Company Original Indian Tonic Water, garnished with lemon and thyme.

The ‘Frozen Paloma’ is a riff on the Mexican classic, teaming The London Essence Company Grapefruit & Rosemary Tonic Water with tequila, pink grapefruit juice, lime juice and agave syrup.

Hoping to capture the essence of Thailand, the ‘Lychee and Basil Collins’ features The London Essence Company White Peach & Jasmine Crafted Soda, gin, lychee syrup and lemon juice, garnished with Thai basil.

All three drinks are available to make at home using cocktail kits available from the London Essence e-shop or can be found on the menu at Drake & Morgan bars across London.
