Make A Strawberry Margarita Cocktail Like Country Cox

There’s no denying, Monica from the 90s sitcom “Friends” knew how to throw a proper party and mix a classic cocktail. It’s seems like some of that talent extended to actress Courteney Cox’s personal bar skills. 

Designed for the Ultimate Margarita Showdown, Courteney Cox shows us how to shake up a margarita guaranteed to surprise and delight any cocktail-loving friend.

Strawberry Margarita with a Sweet Spicy Rim

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  • 2 oz. blanco tequila
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • ¼ cup sliced strawberries
  • Sweet and spicy salt mixture

Instructions

  • Wet rim of rocks glass with lime wedge; dip in salt mixture. Set aside.
  • Muddle the strawberry slices in a cocktail shaker
  • Pour in the Cointreau, tequila and lime juice.
  • Fill shaker with ice, cover and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
  • Fill the prepared glass with ice and strain cocktail into the glass.
  • Garnish with a strawberry half and lime wedge.
